Capture
Catch it however it comes.
Talk, type, take a photo or a video, or draw. Or share something in from another app. CatchDo reads what you caught, gives it a title and a hashtag, and writes it up as a tidy page, all on your iPhone.
Voice notes
Talk.
CatchDo keeps up.
A thought on the way out of the door, a lecture, a whole meeting: tap the capture button and talk. The words come up as you speak, and the recording stays with them.
The screens below are drawn from the app’s own. The meeting in them is one we made up.

Live transcript
Words as you say them.
The transcript writes itself on your iPhone while you talk. When it hears more than one voice, it labels each speaker.
- Hold the capture button to pause, and tap it to carry on. A phone call pauses the take instead of ending it.
- Turn the live transcript off to save battery. The recording is still transcribed when you save it.
- Free takes run up to 3 minutes and are kept as notes. Premium records until you stop.
CatchDo records while it's open. Leave the app or lock your phone, and the take stops and is saved as a note.

Live meeting updates
Lost the thread? Check So far.
While you record, the So far tab keeps a running summary a few seconds behind the talk: the key points, the things not to forget, and the questions still waiting for an answer, with who asked them.
- A new point every ten seconds or so while people talk, and older points folded into shorter lines as the meeting goes on.
- Decisions, deadlines, and the jobs people take on get a line of their own, marked !, and so do questions, marked ?. Those lines are never folded away.
- Written by Apple Intelligence on your iPhone, in your summary language. When you stop, the note gets its own summary of the whole recording.

Your language
Transcribed in the language you speak.
Pick how your notes are transcribed. Save space uses the speech recognition built into iOS and transcribes each recording in the language you choose. Best quality, part of Premium, works out what's being said, so a recording that switches language mid-sentence keeps every one of them.
- Summaries, to-dos, and hashtags are written in the language you pick, whatever language the note is in.
- Premium rewrites a note in that language when some of it was said in another, and keeps the words as they were spoken.
- Everyday, the setup CatchDo starts on, is fast and light, and made for clear English. CatchDo itself comes in 12 languages.
Save space covers the languages iOS recognizes on your iPhone, one per recording. Best quality knows 90+ languages, on iPhones that can run it.

Spanish
Apple transcribes each recording in Spanish, and summaries follow it. A language iOS does not have yet downloads once.

After you stop
Then it's a note.
Stop, and CatchDo transcribes the whole recording again, then gives it a title, a hashtag, and a tidy page. A lecture comes back as a numbered outline in the order it was taught, ending on the assignments and deadlines that were set.
- Tap a speaker's label to name them. The name replaces Speaker 1 in the text, and search finds the note by it.
- Play it back at up to twice the speed, with the words following along.
- Change the setup or the language, and transcribe the audio again, free.
Free reads your first 15 notes with AI. Premium reads every note.

The note on Catch, and its speakers once they have names.
Every other kind
Words, pictures,
video, and links.
Hold the capture button and drag to Text, Photo, or Draw; the camera films video too. Each kind lands on Catch with its own chip, and the words in it are read on your iPhone, so search can find them.
-
Type it
Two words at a red light counts as a note. Type a line or a whole page, and it's read and filed like any other.
- Add more to a note later, typed or spoken
- Open a Markdown file in CatchDo, and it becomes a note
-
Snap it
Take a photo or pick one, and choose what CatchDo does with it: tell you what's in it, grab the words, turn it into to-dos, or file it as a document.
- Turn a photographed list or whiteboard into to-dos
- Translate the words in a picture into your language (Premium)
-
Keep the receipt
Photograph a receipt, or just say what you spent, and CatchDo notes who was paid and what it came to.
- A hashtag's page adds up its receipts, one total per currency
- Each total is broken down by the kind of spending
-
Film it
Switch the camera to video, or pick a clip of up to 10 minutes. CatchDo transcribes what's said, speakers and all, and reads up to 16 moments of what's on screen.
- The note lays it out as a timeline of what was said and what was seen
- Premium tells the clip's story in a paragraph
-
Sketch it
Draw with a finger or an Apple Pencil, over as many pages as you need. The words you write on them are read, so search finds them.
- Pen, marker, and eraser, in five inks and three widths
- Every page is kept with the note as one picture
-
Attach a page or a file
Attach a web page and CatchDo reads it into the note, or says if the link is dead or behind a sign-in. Attach a PDF, a Markdown file, or a text file, and its words are read in too.
- Only the page you attach is fetched. A web address you type in a note is left alone.
- Turn page reading off in Settings, any time
Every way in
Not just the button.
Catch from another app, a widget, the Lock Screen, or your wrist.
-
The share sheet
Send CatchDo text, a link, a photo, or a recording from another app, Voice Memos included. A recording is transcribed on your iPhone.
-
Widgets
The small widget starts a voice note in one tap, and the medium one adds Text, Photo, and your to-dos. On the Lock Screen, a widget starts a voice note.
-
Quick Capture
Turn it on to keep Voice, Text, Photo, and To-Do buttons on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, for up to 8 hours after you last open CatchDo.
-
Apple Watch
Tap the disc, or double tap, and talk. The recording goes to your iPhone, which transcribes it.
